DJ Services

Mark & Simon are the disc jockeys at Men In Black.  This means that we do not have a 'stable' of DJs at our disposal, so the person who conducts your consultation will be the DJ at your event.

We will help you plan your event and discuss your musical preferences,

all the while trying to avoid the common tunes we all hear over and over (and over) again at

weddings and dances. 

We will also (at no extra charge) be pleased to act as your master of ceremonies, or provide pointers to your MC, should he/she be somewhat novice (or nervous) when dealing with this sort of responsibility.

MiB offers a full compliment of lighting options as well, in order to create more of a 'dance club' feel to your event.

Some things you should know about our DJ Service:

*  We only use professional quality equipment, and have ready access to backup systems should the

        unfortunate need arise. 

*  We will be more than happy to take requests from your guests.

*  We will arrange the timing of significant events with you in advance.

*  We will adjust the level of interactivity to the event and your wishes.

Live Music Services

A live music performance at your event will be a unique and elegant addition.

Our MiB Combo consists of a group of talented, professional musicians, who can provide live jazz music during your cocktail hour and dinner.

During your consultation for DJ services, you will meet with our band leader (usually Simon), who will go over your preferences or requests. 

If playing during the holidays, you can also opt for a mix of holiday classics and jazz standards.

In addition to our jazz trio, we also offer live music for wedding ceremonies....

Imagine walking down the aisle accompanied by a classical guitarist, pianist, or bagpiper.

If you have a specific idea in mind of an instrument or combo you would like to hear at your event, please let us know. We have a wealth of contacts in the local musician community, so we can provide anything you need for your function.

Other Live Entertainment...

If you have a colleague retiring soon, we can help you put on a Comedy Roast, in the spirit of the Friars' Club or Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts.  We will work with you to determine the best stories to tell, help coach your panelists and the "Person of the Hour" in order to create a special presentation which will be funny and memorable.

What better way to honor someone special?  Roast them!

For some extra spice at your holiday party or corporate function, we recommend a comedian or live hypnotist. 

As we do with everything else, we will work with you to match the spirit of you event to the demeanor and material of our comics.

PowerPoint

If you would like to create a slideshow for your reception, but either do not know how or do not have the time,

we can help.

We can either take your scanned pictures or scan them for you, and import them into a tasteful PowerPoint presentation.

From there, we will run it on our notebook computer, and provide the projector and screen, all for one reasonable cost.
